Baba Farid Law College Faridkot, is the dream-come true of its Chairman S. Inderjit Singh Khalsa. It was established in 2004 with a aim of providing quality education in the area. It is a non profitable institution. Its campus is spread over 13 acres of land. It is state of the art having three storied two academic blocks, top-tombed hexagonal Administrative Block. The college is proud of its well stacked centrally air cooled and computerized Library, Staff Room, separate Common Rooms for boys and girls, Moot Court Hall, Lecture Theatre and an air-conditioned Auditorium. Our college is best college in Punjab.

In the words of James Kouzes and Barry Posner, authors of The Leadership Challenge: “There’s nothing more demoralizing than a leader who can’t clearly articulate why we’re doing what we’re doing.” The meteoric rise of BFLC since the time of its inception would not be possible without the vision, experience and wisdom of its founder S. Inderjit Singh Khalsa. Being a lawyer by profession, he dreamed of an institution form where the youth of this region, which did not have any law college, could obtain law education. This dream came true when he founded Baba Farid Law College. Our founder is a social worker and comrade at heart. He wanted this institution to cater especially to those sections of society which could not afford expensive education. The fruition of S. Inderjit Singh’s idea stems from his own success as a foremost lawyer of Punjab.
Having earned his education from various prestigious institutions in Lyallpur, Amritsar, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Ferozepur, Faridkot and Jallandhar, he started his practice in criminal law and became the most reputed lawyer of this region. He became president of the District Bar Association and District Olympic Association of Faridkot. As a recipient of over a dozen honoring awards for his extensive service for society, he has always led by example and proved that honesty, hard work are the solid building blocks upon which a successful and progressive future can be built. The harmonious campus of BFLC is a living proof of his vision. During the 17 years, he guided the destiny of BFLC, he pioneered college’s involvement in law education. The college today stands with its status as the number one law college in Punjab. We are fortunate to have a man of the stature of S. Inderjit Singh Khalsa in our midst. His sterling leadership qualities, remarkable foresight, uncompromising pursuit of excellence, humility, prodigious capacity to motivate and trust people will continue to guide and inspire future generations at BFLC.

I want to make sure every child has the opportunity for quality education.
For the last fourteen years a glowworm had been hovering in my heart cajoling me to establish an institution,which should be flesh & blood of my own profession. It was conceived in 2004 which resulted into opening of Baba Farid Law College. In our country, it is a misconception that the people generally have been lured to start educational institutions not for noble cause but for commercial purposes to earn profit by evading taxes. Some impediments in the way of starting this new educational institution were created by some unscrupulous persons considering us from such people’s category but we are not.
I was fully aware that to start a Law College is not a bed of roses, but God knows why Baba Farid exhorted us to tread this thorny path. It appears that Baba Farid Ji himself helped us in getting clearance of N.O.C., affiliation and approval from the State Government, Punjabi University, Patiala and Bar Council of India. The inspection team of Bar Council of India in its first report exalted us to be the best among the Law Colleges, I quote, “It is one of the best Law Institutions among the approved and affiliated colleges we have visited in the State.”Grand statue of the Goddess of Justice-‘Themis’ standing as guardian to inspire the teachers and taught to bring social justice in our society.
I will be failing in my duty if I do not express my gratitude towards our godfather-The Great Saint Baba Farid Ji who showered all his benevolence in providing this Law College as Hub of Excellence. I pray to Waheguru and Baba Farid Ji to bless all his educational and religious institutions including Baba Farid law College, Faridkot. May Baba Farid be with one and all!

I am greatly rejoiced on placing the fact that Baba Farid Law College (BFLC) has unfolded into an institution of glorious present and great future. It has become possible mainly because of the visionary dream of its founder S. Inderjit Singh Khalsa-whose mission has always been to provide quality legal education in this region. In order to accomplish his vision and mission, we are prepared to make as much effort as possible for the betterment of academic scenario. We believe that education is an effective mode of social transformation. We provide an atmosphere to our students for their all round development. Students are encouraged to channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence. BFLC has its deep roots in the field of law education in the state of Punjab. I feel proud and privileged to be a part of this magnificent institution. BFLC has been striving hard to make the best possible efforts to inculcate strong values in its students combining with academics and extra-curricular activities. Though academic excellence is our major thrust yet BFLC is devoted to prepare students for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow and encourage them to be socially relevant. The motto of the Baba Farid Law College is to make students self motivated, disciplined, confident and morally upright, having a spirit of sacrifice and service to nation.
